Standard to increase daily distribution by 100,000
The London daily went free last October after being bought from Associated Newspapers by Russian billionaire Alexander Lebedev.
Editor Geordie Greig revealed the increased circulation plan following a meeting of London 2012 Olympics organisers, athletes and "stakeholders".
Chairman of the organising committee of the games, Lord Coe, said: "We were a better bid because of the scrutiny you provided during that period. It will make us a better host city"
