The magazine, which is dedicated to the resurgent rock genre, will be tested as a one-off special in the same way Classic Rock Presents: Prog magazine began in 2009, and evolved into the bi-monthly dedicated to progressive rock. The magazine now sells more than 20,000 copies of each issue, with a cover price of £7.99.

Classic Rock Presents: AOR is said to be "a stylish and glossy celebration of the genre" which Future says is enjoying a renaissance. It will hit newsstands in November, priced £7.99. 

Classic Rock Presents: AOR is edited by 'Classic Rock'’s editor-at-large, Geoff Barton – the rock journalist who founded Kerrang! and was formerly editor of Sounds magazine.
