That is the finding of the 2010 Annual Digital Magazine Readership Survey conducted by Qmags, which questioned 170,000 randomly selected digital magazine subscribers.

The survey, reported by Publishing Executive, also found that the majority of readers (54.6 per cent) preferred a print magazine format that had been redesigned to fit a computer screen. Print replicas were favoured by 22.9 per cent and article summaries with links were opted for by 22.5 per cent.

Digital magazine readers are happy to click on editorial and advertising content alike, with 60 per cent saying they clicked on an article link and 55 per cent on an advert. In addition, more than 45 per cent spent over 30 minutes reading their issue.
