Condé farms out shoestring magazine launches
The latest mag out of the gate is MensWear, which is being produced by the Fairchild wing.
The news comes only a few days after Parade Publications, a subsidiary of Newhouse's Advance unit, said it was launching a new Sunday newspaper magazine insert this November called Dash, covering the food market.
"MensWear is going to be a glossy trade/consumer hybrid," Fairchild CEO Gina Sanders told Media Ink. The first issue will debut on June 21 with "Hurt Locker" star Jeremy Renner on the cover.
The new magazine comes two years after Fairchild folded its men's fashion newspaper DNR and made it a weekly section in Women's Wear Daily.
